1. Who we are
Anyday is an app for shared lists and memories, developed by Mario Gjashta, who is responsible for your data under this policy. If you have questions about it, contact us at [email protected].
2. What data we collect
- Account information: your name and email address when you sign up, or the name and email address Apple or Google shares with us when you sign in with them. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email", we only see the relay address Apple gives us.
- Lists and items: the lists you make and what's in them, such as ideas, checklist items, notes, and the places you save (a place's name and its map link). We also keep who each list is shared with, and when things were ticked off.
- Memories: the memories you keep, which can include a line of text, a longer note, the date, a place, the names of people you add, and photos. The photos you choose to add are uploaded to our servers, so your memories are there on any device you sign in on. Anyday only gets the photos you pick. It doesn't read the rest of your photo library.
- Usage data: what you do in the app, such as creating a list, adding an item, or signing in, together with basic device details like the app version and iOS version. It's linked to your account ID, name and email address.
- Device token: a push notification token, so we can send you alerts, for example when someone shares a list with you.
Anyday does not use your device's location, and it doesn't read your contacts.
3. How we use your data
- To run Anyday: keeping your lists and memories, syncing them across your devices, and showing shared lists to the people you share them with.
- To sign you in, including with Apple or Google.
- To send push notifications about activity that's relevant to you, like share requests and list updates. You can turn them off in your iPhone's Settings.
- To understand which features people use and fix what doesn't work, using the usage data above.
We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
If you're in the European Union or the UK, we use your data because it's needed to provide the service you signed up for, and, for usage data, because of our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and improving it. You can object to that use at any time by contacting us.
4. Who can see your data
People you share a list with can see that list, what's in it, and your name. Your memories are stored with your account.
We also use these services to run Anyday. Each one only gets what it needs for its part:
- Our hosting provider runs the servers and database where your account, lists, memories and photos are stored.
- Mixpanel receives the usage data described above, for analytics. It's stored in Mixpanel's EU data center.
- Expo delivers push notifications and app updates to your device.
- Apple handles Sign in with Apple. When you search for a place, what you type is sent to Apple Maps to find it.
- Google handles Google sign-in. When you paste a Google Maps short link, the app opens the link to find the place it points to.
- OpenFreeMap provides the map tiles. When you look at a list on the map, your device downloads the map for that area, so OpenFreeMap sees your IP address and the area shown.
Each of these services handles data under its own privacy policy. Some of them may process data outside your country, including in the United States.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account is open. You can delete your account at any time in the app's settings. That permanently removes your account, lists, items, memories and photos from our servers. To have your usage data deleted from Mixpanel as well, email us and we'll do it.
6. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're in the EU or UK and think we've handled your data wrongly, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
7. Security
Everything between the app and our servers is sent over an encrypted connection, and your sign-in is kept in your device's secure storage.
8. Children's privacy
Anyday is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age for using online services without a parent's consent in your country. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we'll tell you in the app or by email, and the date at the top of this page will change.
